MATH 4295 Mathematics Reading and Research I
The primary purpose of this course is to explore the advanced mathematics world and to start a mathematics research project. This is a one-semester course. The class meets once every week. Throughout the course, students will learn how to understand the language of mathematics, writing it properly using Latex and presenting if effectively. Students will do extensive reading of mathematics literature under guidance. By searching and exploring the research topics, students will be able to select a research topic.
Prerequisite
MATH 3320 plus one additional upper level mathematics courses and permission of the instructor.
