General Studies Concentration--HSCI
The Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a concentration in General Studies (Military Training) is designed for students who are ready to prepare for a career in the healthcare field. Professionals already working can complete a BS-HSCI degree to move on to a senior leadership position.
Students who have 18 or more credits in the military allied health field can transfer those into the degree program as general studies to complete the BS-HSCI degree. Graduates will be qualified to assume leadership positions in healthcare and also move on to graduate school.
To receive the Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BS-HSCI) with a concentration in General Studies degree, students must complete the Major Requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and:
- Students who have 21 or more credits in the allied health field are required to transfer them into the degree program. These credits may also come from appropriate military training.
- General Electives - Hours needed to meet 120 total credit hours for degree and 45 hour residency requirement
- 45 clock hours of Community Service is required.
