GOV 272 HUMAN RIGHTS & RESEARCH ETHICS

What does it mean to take a human rights-based approach to research and advocacy? Drawing from contemporary scholarship in the fields of international relations and human rights, this course explores a range of ethical considerations when engaging human rights research and advocacy. Students will gain experience in select qualitative research skills and work to develop a human rights-informed research proposal, which might then be implemented in future semesters as individual studies or honors theses.
