GOV 267 ASIAN AMERICAN POLITICS

This course examines the emergence and evolution of Asian American political identities and mobilizations over the past six decades, from the antecedents of the Asian American Movement to contemporary developments in electoral, judicial, and participatory politics. The course pays special attention to the politics of solidarity – to the opportunities and challenges activists and organizers face in forging political movements that cut across differences of class, gender, ethnicity, language, and race.
