Focus on urban space as constructed on the screen and the interplay between architecture, sets, cultural memory, and film technologies. Study of films from the French cinematic tradition and examples from the American, Russian, and European cinemas.

Notes

An additional weekly two-hour, two credit TOC session in FRH 403T, will be offered to students who speak and read French beyond the intermediate level. The TOC section is required for students who wish to count the course toward a major/minor in French.
