OMED 8419 Gynecologic Oncology Elective Clerkship
This four-week experience is designed to provide experiential learning in gynecologic oncology (Gyn-Onc). The rotation in Gyn-Onc will involve direct participation in the care of patients on inpatient hospital services, surgical setting, and ambulatory clinic. The student participates in the evaluation and treatment of patients, gaining a wide variety of experiences. Students will achieve a better understanding of the complexities of care and treatment of women with cancer. Students are encouraged to integrate and apply osteopathic principles and practices within the management of a Gyn-Onc patient.
