OMED 8403 Advanced Anatomy and Radiology Elective Clerkship
This 4-week experience is designed to provide experiential learning in clinically relevant anatomy and radiology. Up to five learners can be accommodated for each session. This elective is designed around anatomical regions associated with high frequency of patient visits (upper and lower extremities, back and spine, abdomen, pelvis/perineum, and head and neck) and cases often requiring a multi-disciplinary clinical care approach. The overall objectives of this elective are to 1) integrate human anatomy and its application in clinical care, and 2) apply basic diagnostic imaging to clinical care. Learners will review basic anatomy through dissection using cadaveric specimens and review pertinent radiologic images correlating to the region of interest being studied. The elective will be carried out in the Gross Anatomy Laboratory.
