OMED 8401 Public Health Elective Clerkship
This four-week experience is designed to provide experiential learning in public health. The introduction to public health course provides learners with opportunities for knowledge to solve public health problems, with particular emphasis on health disparities in urban communities. Students collaborate with Clerkship directors and/or other professionals to create and evaluate health promotion and disease prevention programs. The curriculum includes a blended method to include online learning modules, discussion boards, weekly quizzes, and final exam that emphasize case findings, health education, and disease prevention. The course is designed to ensure that upon completion learners have attained knowledge in the broad field of public health.
