PMIN 2322 Faith Development and Catechesis in Multiple Contexts

Students examine theories of human development (e.g. Erikson and Maslow) to better understand how cultural values and beliefs are transmitted throughout the life cycle. This course serves as a context for exploring ways to guide children, teens, and adults in faith formation and catechesis. Students learn the importance of a wholistic approach to catechesis that builds on cultural values congruent with the Gospel. The course offers various models for family-centered and multi-generational catechesis that are culturally relevant and consistent with Church teachings.
