HIST 4341 Making History

Making History is the capstone course for undergraduate History majors. This course is designed to be taken in the student's senior year and helps prepare students for the next step: a job in the history field, graduate school, teaching history, or other careers. It is the course that culminates everything students have learned in their previous history courses by combining and building on the knowledge and skills students have already acquired. In the course students will examine the major issues and questions posed by historians of the 20th century, learn about the major arguments and interpretations offered by historians, and formulate an original research paper. This paper must demonstrate the ability to apply their skills and reveal an awareness of the intricacies of being a historian.
