CHEM 1320 Biological Chemistry for Health Professions

This course is the second in a series of introductory biological chemistry courses to serve non-science majors. Topics cover organic and biological chemistry concepts relevant to biological sciences and human health including functional groups, organic reactions, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids and metabolism. The course serves as a prerequisite for students applying to nursing school.

Corequisite

CHEM 1120 must be taken concurrently unless already successfully completed with a “C” or better.
