BFIN 3325 Money and Capital Markets

This course provides students with basic knowledge of the U.S. securities industry, as well as its products, trading and regulation. Students will learn about securities products and how they are issued, regulatory agencies and their functions, the structure and operation of financial markets, conduct rules and prohibited activities, and economic factors that influence the securities markets. This course prepares students for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam. Finance concentration students are required to take the SIE exam at the end of the course.
