OMED 7600 General Internal Medicine Core Clerkship
This 6-week experience is designed to provide experiential learning in ambulatory internal medicine, either in a preceptor’s office, freestanding clinic, or an affiliated hospital’s ambulatory care center. Students gain experience with diverse patient populations manifesting pathologies in the following major organ systems: cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, endocrine, hematology/oncology, infectious diseases, rheumatologic/immune, neurological and renal. Students are also encouraged to integrate and apply osteopathic principles and practices to the management of patients.
