HSCI 4355 Medicolegal Aspts/Hlthcare Rec

Application of medicolegal concepts related to medical transcription, including understanding the purpose of the healthcare record and content and format of healthcare documents. Emphasis is placed on standards and regulations of healthcare documentation and ethics, to include HIPAA and the AHDI Code of Ethics, and the consequences of a breach of ethics.
