VISC 4223 Ocular Disease

This course will provide an overview of the practice of optometry with a regard to delivery of eye care to ameliorate ocular disease based upon understanding of the causative pathophysiology. The future for treating diseases of the eye and visual system will require novel insight into disease biology. Topics addressed will be the pathology of the: tear film, eyelids, cornea, conjunctiva, lens, vitreous, aqueous humor and retina.
