Finance concentration

To fulfill the requirements for the Finance concentration, the student must complete 21 hours of required courses:

A. 6 semester hours of required courses:

B. 3 semester hours from the following courses:

BFIN 3325Money and Capital Markets
BFIN 4325Student Managed Fund

C. Choose 12 semester hours from the following courses, depending on your career path selection:

Banking Career Path:

ACCT 3311Intermediate Accounting I
BFIN 3322Intermediate Financial Mgmt
BFIN 3355International Banking/Finance
BFIN 4304Mgmt of Financial Institutions

Financial Planning Career Path:

These courses along with BFIN 3310 and BFIN 3324 have been certified by the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, Inc. CFP®. The courses meet the criteria for educating individuals who are interested in fulfilling the education requirements for obtaining the CFP–TM certification.
