Emergency Management, Associate in Applied Science
Curriculum EMP.EMP.AAS (C244A)
Designed to prepare students to enter the profession of emergency management. An emphasis is placed on developing academic, technical and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention and advancement. The skills obtained through the associate degree program will prepare students to enter emergency management positions in government agencies, private corporations, industry and education or health care institutions.
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the successful completion of the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Emergency Management program, the graduate will be able to:
- identify fundamentals of the Incident Command System;
- identify fundamentals of being an Emergency Manager; and
- identify the components and key terms of the National Incident Management System according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
