MUSI 20613 History of Western Music I
Prerequisite: Successful completion of MUSI 20203 or permission of instructor. This course is designed to help students understand the position of music in history, contributions to musical thought, and the development of musical style in Western culture to the mid-seventeenth century through a detailed study of music literature.
