MUSI 10083 Survey of Film Music
An introduction to the history and aesthetics of the cinematic soundtrack. Through lecture, discussion, reading, and listening, students will examine the evolution of film music, its composers, and their musical styles. Students will also study the different elements of music, and how film composers use them to support and
enhance the film narrative.
