Bachelor of Science in Nursing

New students are no longer being admitted into the Strayer University RN to BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program. Contact your local campus or email schoolofnursing@strayer.edu for more information.

The RN to BSN program is a baccalaureate program for registered nurses who hold an active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) from any state in the United States. The purpose of the program is to educate students from diverse backgrounds in the theory and application of nursing concepts beyond those learned in their previous coursework and current work experiences. Students will develop the knowledge and skills to deliver safe, quality nursing care, consistent with nursing and healthcare standards and regulatory requirements. The program prepares students as baccalaureate generalists, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration, safety, quality, informatics, evidence-based practice, professionalism, ethics, leadership and management, pathophysiology, advanced health assessment and population/community health.

School of Nursing Mission: Strayer University's nursing programs comprise a rigorous academic experience that stimulates the professional and intellectual growth of registered nurses from diverse backgrounds. Our supportive, student-focused learning environment enables registered nurses to achieve their personal and professional goals. Our programs equip students for successful professional nursing practice and foster their lifelong learning pursuits. Graduates are prepared to provide ethical, competent, compassionate, high-quality, interdisciplinary nursing care to diverse populations in complex settings. Program alumni are positioned to lead and shape the delivery of high quality, innovative, person-centered healthcare.

The RN to BSN program is not approved in all states. Please go to www.strayer.edu for information regarding program availability.
