Life Credit Portfolio – Graduate and Jack Welch Management Institute

Procedures approved by the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning are used to allow students to satisfy Strayer University’s graduate course requirements for certain courses through a Life Credit Portfolio (LCP). Credit for experiential learning is applied on a course-by-course basis to graduate courses when it appears that learning resulting from experience is comparable to the content of specific courses. No more than 4.5 quarter credits/3.0 semester credits (equivalent to one course) in a student’s 12-course graduate degree program may be awarded from life or work experience, including the LCP. Students enrolled in the 10-course MBA program may not complete a LCP. LCP credits do not fulfill residency requirements. Information about LCP preparation procedures is available on the Strayer website at www.strayer.edu. See the Fees section for applicable charges.

Students must meet at least 80% of the course learning objectives for graduate courses. The LCP will be graded Pass or Fail.
