Student Organization Bank Accounts
All funds provided to student organizations must be accounted for in conformity with policies established by the Dean of Students or designee. Among these policies are the following:
- Any funds provided to an organization by the University can be used only for academic and professionally related activities, such as seminars and educational videos. University funds may not be used for social activities, awards, letterhead, etc.
- An accounting of expenditures, by receipt, must be made by the student organization at the request of the Dean of Students or designee .
- No bank accounts may be opened by student organizations in the name of Strayer University.
- If ordered by the Dean of Students under which an organization was originally recognized, an organization may be absorbed as a chapter into a University-wide organization.
