SCI 11000 Introduction to Astronomy
This course is aimed primarily at the science and non-science major and requires no prerequisite knowledge in either mathematics or physics. The course surveys specific areas in the fields of astronomy and is designed to meet the needs of a broad education in science. In addition, the course offers a broad view of astronomy with a sample of known facts, evolving ideas, and frontier discoveries. It covers our solar system, our galaxy, black holes, quasars, supernovas and what lies beyond.
