GEO 13000 Coming to America
This course provides an overview of the various waves of immigration to the United States including the present demographic and spatial characteristics of our population. Students will explore the following themes: population changes; dominant group versus minority group interaction; evolution of discriminatory spatial behavior; and the role of cities in immigration and multicultural evolution.
