THR 15000 Improvisation I

This is an introductory course that explores the actor’s potential to improvise for the theatre. It is based upon celebrated Improviser, Viola Spolin’s premise that improvisation is an important tool for the contemporary actor. This course explores the historical development and practical application of improvisational skills in a performance setting through theatre ‘games’ and other means of initiating scenarios and storytelling without the use of rehearsal or scripts.
