OCC 10500 Therapeutic Occupations

The purpose and process of using and analyzing occupations is discussed in this introductory course.  Course material is presented in the context of normal development. Students relate course concepts and occupations to their own life experiences, cultures, values and roles. In addition, students begin to examine the impact of disrupted development, clinical conditions, or disabilities on participation in life activities or occupation.  The health and psychosocial benefits of active involvement in meaningful activities are introduced.

BIO 11000, PSY 10110 with a grade of C or higher and OCC 10100 with a grade of C+ or higher
