Program Goals:
The program will provide students with a general understanding of mathematics and science courses as well as a foundation in other general liberal arts courses required for transfer into a baccalaureate program. Students will engage in the exploration of science and will build and reinforce confidence in their abilities to be successful in this discipline.
Program Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Develop critical knowledge in the areas of mathematics, biology, chemistry, or physics
- Develop research skills and an understanding of the scientific method and how to solve problems
- Develop an understanding of the role and responsibility of the scientific community in the solution to global problems
- Understand the use of technology in research, learning, direct investigation and experimental analysis
