CAD 10500 Introduction to AutoCAD

An introduction to two-dimensional computer drafting using the AutoCAD software. The course covers the basic drawing and editing commands and serves as a prerequisite for more advanced CAD courses. Topics covered include drawing setup, prototype drawings, 2D drawing and editing commands, layers, scale, units, text, model and paper space. Also included are multiple viewport creation and manipulation, dimensioning and dimension variables and blocks and their use as library parts. A prerequisite for the AutoCAD 3-D course.
