Assessment

Rockland Community College is committed to applying sound assessment practices to ensure success toward achieving its mission and goals through comprehensive, systematic and efficient processes for decision-making. As an educational institution, RCC is accountable to itself, its students and its local and state constituents. It is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association and meets the standards and requirements of the State University of New York and the New York State Education Department.

Application of sound, systematic institutional assessment practices facilitates communication and engages the College’s various constituencies in pursuit of continuous institutional improvement. These practices involve staff, students, faculty, alumni, community members, college administrators, and external advisors in gathering information, reviewing and analyzing the information, and providing suggestions for improvement.
