Chapter 33 – Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance

The Post 9/11 GI Bill is an education benefit program for individuals who served at least 90 days on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. Veterans who were honorably discharged from active duty due to a service-connected disability and who served 30 continuous days may also be eligible. Based upon length of service, a veteran is entitled to a percentage of the cost of tuition and fees (up to the cost of the most expensive in-state undergraduate tuition at a public college or university), a monthly housing allowance, and a books and supplies stipend.
