The Connection Center

When LIFE happens...The Connection Center is a unique program that connects with a range of non-academic, off-campus or community services to assist a student or their family members and help the student maintain their enrollment at RCC. For students pressed by non-academic problems, such as family, health, or financial issues, and thinking they may have to withdraw from some or all of their classes, The Connection Center can connect them or their family members to community resources, and help them stay enrolled.

Even when The Connection Center is not open, students and family members may dial 211 any time day or night to speak with a United Way call specialist. All calls to Hudson Valley 211 and visits to The Connection Center are confidential and free. Provided through a partnership with United Way, their Hudson Valley 211 specialists will act as resource brokers for our students and their family members. Students are encouraged to speak with someone in The Connection Center before withdrawing from classes, and Coffee and Community sessions are held regularly. The Connection Center is located in the Technology Center, Rm. 8372 or 1st Floor, at The Connection Center Kiosk. Joseph Falco, LMFT, Coordinator. jfalco@sunyrockland.edu, 845-574-4414.
