ECO 208 Macroeconomics Honors

This course is concerned with the behavior of the economy as a whole – booms, recessions, total output of goods and services, growth of output, inflation and unemployment, balance of payments, exchange rates. The focus is on economic behavior and policies that affect consumption and investment, trade balance, determinants of fiscal and monetary policies, money stock, federal budget, interest rates, and national debt. A model-based approach is used. A research project is required.

MAT 102 or higher or equivalent and Admission in M/TS Honors Program or permission of the Department Chair
