ART 134 History of Photography

A basic introduction to the history of photography, from Talbot and Daguerre to the present. The course will entail presentations and discussions of the major photographs, photographers and trends at different points throughout the history of the medium. This course will examine photographs in terms of aesthetics, ideas and techniques and history.
