Institutional Review Board
Faculty, students, and institutional collaborators who wish to conduct research with human participants must first receive approval from Rochester Christian University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB). Members of the IRB, which is composed of faculty, community members, and external reviewers, are expected to maintain up-to-date training through the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) as organized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Training modules are free to access and may be found
here, along with the literature on U.S. federal regulations regarding human research.
To apply for research approval or determine if your research requires IRB approval, please view
this page and its linked forms.
For the names and contacts of IRB members, including the chair of the committee, the RCU IRB handbook is available
here.
