CIS 2003 Introduction to Information Systems
The purpose of the course is to provide students with solid foundation for the "how" information systems are designed to meet the needs of information users. In addition, their focus will be upon critical issues surrounding the use of IT in organizations. Specific course topics include but are not limited to: defining basic information technology concepts, introducing the principles, processes, and practices of agile software development, discussing the ethical issues in information technology, and the importance of understanding group and individual dynamics of organizations.
