Health Sciences, BS
The BS in Health Sciences major has three tracks: Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Pharmacy, and Health Care Management.
Pre-Physical Therapy and Pre-Pharmacy are designed for students interested in pursuing studies at either a pharmacy school or a physical therapy school. This degree will provide the essential background and requirements to enter these health-related programs. Students should consult the requirements of the specific programs to which they plan to apply.
The Health Care Management track is designed for students with an AAS in a health-related field to prepare for graduate study or career advancement. The degree completion program allows students to transfer up to 82 semester hours from accredited two-year community colleges. Students who have completed or are pursuing an AAS degree that does not have an articulation agreement with Rochester University should seek permission to enroll from the Science and Mathematics Department Chair.

Requirements for the BS in Health Sciences
General Education Core: 43-46 hours
Gen Ed Core: 43-46 hours
For Pre-Physical Therapy track, the following general education requirements are covered in the major: Social and Behavioral Science. For Pre-Physical Therapy, MAT 1334 Pre-Calculus is required to satisfy Critical Thinking/Math Competency. CHE 1314 and CHE 1324 are required to satisfy Lab Science.
For Pre-Pharmacy track, MAT 1334 Pre-Calculus is required to satisfy Critical Thinking/Math Competency. CHE 1514 and CHE 1524 are required to satisfy Lab Science.
For Health Care Management track, MAT 1334 Pre-Calculus or MAT 2413 Elementary Statistics is required to satisfy Critical Thinking/Math Competency.
