NL462 Community Health Nursing Clinical-Lab
Concepts basic to meeting the health needs of HUMANITY, particularly individuals, families, groups, and communities of diverse cultural and social backgrounds in community and rural settings are explored. The impact of the ENVIRONMENT upon the community as the client, and the interrelationship of the HEALTH status of the individual and of the community is experienced. Health promotion and disease/illness prevention, along with the principles of epidemiology are addressed. Clinical/lab experiences provide opportunities for students to apply the nursing process and the concepts of community health nursing for individuals, families, groups, and communities. Clinical 90 hours.
Nursing students may only take two of three 400-level clinical component nursing courses within one semester.
