Applied Technology Diplomas
Applied Technology Diploma—Overview
PHSC is authorized to offer the Applied Technology Diploma (ATD). At a Florida state college, the ATD may be offered either for technical credit or for college credit. Students entering an ATD must have a standard high school diploma or a GED. The purpose of the ATD is to allow the student to gain advanced standing toward an Associate in Science (AS) degree. When the ATD program articulates into an AS degree, the credit awarded will be college credit. These AS degrees may be offered at any Florida state college. With the exception of EMT, students entering the program must take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and achieve the state-designated scores in order to receive their certificate. The Emergency Medical Technician ATD is offered for college credit at PHSC.
Note: All programs and courses are not available on all campuses. Contact the Student Affairs office to determine the program availability and location.
