HUS 2940 Human Services Internship I

Human Services Internship I incorporates classroom learning as well as experience serving in a community agency, work experience, or on the job training. The course is a requirement for the Social and Human Services Associate in Science Degree. The course includes 15 hours of classroom and 60 hours of paid or voluntary internship. The student is required to purchase Professional Liability Insurance through PHSC registration fees prior to beginning any hours at the assigned placement. Topics and activities in the course include interviewing skills, visits to community agencies, resume preparation, demonstration of counseling skills, and completion of written assignments.
