AMH 2020 History of the United States II

The study of United States history from 1865 to the present. This study includes the examination of Reconstruction,  the growth of big business, urban development, Populism and Progressivism, the First and Second World War along with domestic and international developments since 1945. 45 class hours. A grade of "C" or higher is needed for this course to satisfy the Gordon Rule writing requirement and General Education requirement. A grade of "C" or higher in this course partially fulfills the Civic Literacy Requirement as outlined in 1007.25, F.S. To fully meet the Civic Literacy Requirement, passing an approved assessment is also required.

Prerequisite

REA 0017 or REA 0011 or REA 0019 and ENC 0025 or ENC 0021 or ENC 0022 (completed with a grade of "C" or higher for each course) or appropriate placement test scores. Students who are not required to take the common placement test or enroll in developmental education courses do not have to satisfy prerequisites.
