EPI 0030 ESOL and Diversity in the Classroom
The material covered in this course will provide the participant with an understanding of the variety of backgrounds and cultures that may be found in a typical classroom. Topics include but are not limited to the following areas: 1) Social Class, 2) Religion, 3) Language, 4) Gender differences and sexual orientation, 5) Culture and ethnicity, 6) Exceptionalities, 7) Prejudice and tolerance, 8) Multicultural teaching. A grade of "C" or higher must be attained.
