EPI 0011 Advanced Practices in Reading

The course provides student-teachers with a broad knowledge of students from differing profiles in order to understand and apply research-based instructional practices by differentiation process, product, and context. student-teachers will engage in the systematic problem-solving in K-12 reading programs. Student-teachers will understand how to select and administer appropriate assessments and analyze data to inform reading instruction to meet the needs of all students. This course is the second state-mandated, unit-based reading course that covers reading matrix indicators from competency three (Foundations of Assessment) and competency four (Foundations and Applications of Differentiated Instruction).
