EDH 2930 Seminar in Community and State Colleges in Higher Education
This course has been designed for current and prospective community college faculty and administrators. It is a study of the historical growth and advancement of the community college as an institution of higher learning in the United States from the Colonial era to the "virtual" era. It is an integrated overview of the history, mission, purposes, students, faculty, administration, laws, finance and budgeting, planning and management, technology, contemporary issues and Trustees Governing Boards that characterize the community college environment. Participants in this course will earn either a Passing (P) grade or a Failing (F) grade.
