NUR 3145 Pharmacology for Nursing

This course provides the RN to BSN student with an understanding of core concepts in pharmacology: pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics. Medications will be reviewed in the following categories: pharmacological and therapeutic drug classifications, safe and therapeutic drug levels, adverse side effects and potential drug toxicity. Emphasis will be placed on safe drug administration principles and monitoring clinical response to therapies and polypharmacy.
