PRN 0002 Fundamentals of Nursing II/PN

This course is designed to explore Maslow's hierarchy of needs, nursing principles and the roles of the practical nurse (provider of care, communicator and member of the profession) in the approach to the care of clients with alterations of oxygenation, nutrition, hydration, mobility, comfort, safety and security. Legal and ethical issues, cultural diversity, growth and development, nutrition and diet therapy, pharmacologic intervention and professional adjustments are discussed.
