BIO 372 Global Change Biology
This course explores the causes of global change and the consequences for organisms, ecosystems, and the Earth. We will examine past, present, and projected future trends and give special attention to the role of human activity in global change. Topics will include land use, energy use, climate change, biodiversity loss, biotic interchange, and pollution, as well as responses, hurdles, and solutions. Includes one three-hour laboratory per week.
Prerequisite
Any 100-level Biology course except Biology 103, or permission of instructor.
