MUSC 351 Music Theory IV
Together with its co-requisite applied musicianship component, this modular course will explore extensions of chromatic harmonic practice, larger formal models, survey compositional and analytic techniques developed in the 20th and 21st Centuries, and examine music which extends beyond the 12-note equal-tempered scale. The instructor chooses the music studied and additional topics in collaboration with students and Music Department colleagues.
