SPAN 362 Modern Spanish Theater and Cinema

This course will focus on the theater of Federico García Lorca and the cinema of Luis Buñuel and Pedro Almodóvar. Students will engage in an in-depth study of García Lorca's plays examining his theatrical representation of surrealism, gender, and sexuality in conjunction with key films of Buñuel and Almodóvar.
