MUSC 151 Theory and Practice of Music I
This course presents the basic principles of musical form and analysis including simple counterpoint and diatonic harmonic practice. Students will engage in analytic and compositional projects in consultation with Music History faculty. Corequisite: MUSC 151A.

MUSC 101 or passing out of MUSC 101 with a sufficient score on the department's Music Theory Placement Examination
