DWA 282 Global Los Angeles
A critical examination of greater Los Angeles and it's economic, political, social, and cultural ties to the world economy and other countries--all the ways in which Los Angeles is an integral part of the post-Cold War global society. How does this globalization affect the life of Los Angeles and in what ways does Los Angeles contribute to globalization? What are the positive and negative impacts and the implications for United States foreign, economic, and social policies of Los Angeles as a Global City?
This course is part of the California Immigration Semester, and enrollment is open only to first-year students simultaneously enrolled in CSP 1, CTSJ 105, and SOC 105.
